Northern B.C. Overland Conveyor Installation

Northern B.C. Overland Conveyor Installation

GMS is proud to highlight its role in the installation of a major overland conveyor system in Northern British Columbia, supporting one of the mining industry’s most innovative infrastructure projects. Designed to improve efficiency, sustainability, and long-term production, the 5-kilometer conveyor system traverses challenging terrain with nearly 2,000 feet of elevation change and grades reaching up to 17 degrees. GMS crews played a critical role in the precise installation of conveyor trusses, bent supports, and structural components, helping build a system engineered to transport up to 1,750 tons of material per hour.

The video showcases the scale, precision, and expertise required to complete a project of this magnitude. From installing more than 6,000 foundation anchors to erecting elevated conveyor structures in difficult terrain, every phase demanded careful planning and flawless execution. By combining experienced crews with a commitment to safety, quality, and innovation, GMS continues to deliver complex mining infrastructure projects that improve operational efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support the future of the global mining industry.
