GMS Mine Repair
The Badger
Remote Operation
Compact, Rugged Utility Equipment for Hard-to-Reach Mining Environments
The electronic Belt Badger is a remote controlled multi-purpose utility tool platform. It is track driven via electro-hydraulic drive section. Standard facility current is employed to drive an electric motor which powers the hydraulic system. It is equipped with a quick coupling system to allow attachment to a wide array of implements. The implements can be hydraulic or servo-motor powered.
Designed for Demanding Environments
The Badger was engineered specifically to solve problems in confined and unpredictable underground mining conditions. From cleaning sumps to performing utility work in narrow drifts, its low profile and robust build make it ideal for harsh environments where space is limited and control is critical.
- Remote-operated, low-profile utility vehicle
- Available in electric or diesel power options
- Compact enough for confined spaces; powerful enough for excavation tasks
- Ideal for unstable headings, sumps, tight drifts, and remote clean-up
- Designed for harsh mining environments and high-traffic underground routes
- Increases worker safety by removing personnel from high-risk areas
- Field-tested by GMS crews across multiple mining regions

The Badger isn’t adapted from general-purpose equipment — it’s designed from the ground up for underground mining. Every dimension, feature, and material selection serves a specific need in tight, high-risk conditions.
Operators stay safely out of unstable headings, loose ground, or flooded areas while the Badger does the heavy lifting. Remote control keeps personnel out of harm’s way and improves operational confidence.
Its small footprint allows access to narrow drifts, sumps, and headings where larger machines can’t go — without compromising on power, control, or utility function.
The Badger is available in both diesel and electric configurations to suit your mine’s ventilation and emissions requirements.
Our crews have used the Badger across a variety of sites and conditions. It’s proven, reliable, and backed by real-world performance — not just specs on paper.
